The Sun Case Essay Example for Free
The Sun Case EssayThe solarise is the center of solar system. All the eight planets in the solar system revolve around the sun. It is answerable for the day and the night we experience. It gives light and screw up to the planets that revolve around it. Our Earth is the third closest planet to the Sun which is about 92 million miles from present to the sun (Myron, 2007). It may be far, but the Sun still provides enough light for plants to grow and enough heat for the people to be warm. This is made attainable by the Suns very large size. The suns diameter is about 864, 938 miles. It is 10 times bigger than Jupiter, the biggest planet in the solar System. Compared to the Earth, the Sun is 109 times bigger than our home planet (How Big is the Sun?, 2007).The Sun, even if it is very big, is mostly composed of gaseous elements like hydrogen and helium. It has a very eager temperature on its outer layer, and an even hotter inner layer. On the surface, it is about 5,515 degrees C elsius or 9,940 degrees Fahrenheit. Because of this very high temperature, the planets revolving around the sun receive heat and light even though they are very far apart. Why is the sun yellowish-white in color? We see the sun as yellowish-white because of its very hot temperature. The color is also scattered when the light passes through the atmosphere. What is left of the scattered is just the yellowish-white color which we see as the color of the sun. This is why we see a different color of the sun during the afternoon, when the sun is positioned very low in the sky (Dorn, 1999).The sun is a very magnificent body in space. It plays a very important part in our lives. We should be happy and proud that we have the Sun here in our Solar System.ReferenceDorn, E. (1999). What color is the sun in space? I Am One of the 99% Essay Example for Free
I Am One of the 99% EssayThe fact is all but that little 1% is one of the 99%. Does that mean that I need to march down the streets of different cities to tell everyone that I am one of the 99%, camp out for months at a time and conceive the charity of others, so that I can proclaim the fact that I am like 99% of the nation? I retrieve not. 1% of the world controls most of the currency and then the other 99% sh are in what is left. Between 2002 and 2007, the income of the 1% increased at least 10 times faster than the income of the 99%. The Occupy are proclaiming themselves as a true grassroots movement. By doing this, averers are claiming they want to bring attention to problems we down in the nation. To me, it is just one big gripe session sit-in one in which they do not provide any solutions to the problems they are sound off about. For instance, look at the incident in Oakland, California.Protesters closed the Port however, then some of them incited a riot which caused lots of property damage to store owners that are part of the 99%. The Occupy movement has gone global. There are protesters in London and Ireland with riots breaking out causing all kinds of property damage. Does this actually help the cause of the Occupy hurting the pockets of the 99%? I do not see how the Occupy is helping any city they come to protest in. I am not seeing any influx of money to the cities. As it stands, I am seeing rioting, property destruction, and charity being effrontery to the protesters that could help the less fortunate of the city. By inciting a riot causing property damage, they caused businesses to pay money for repairs and incurred lost of income by having to be shut down. This was money that these small businesses couldnt afford. I believe in practicing our civil rights however, any protest should be peaceful and follow the guidelines within the law. We do have problems with our economy. We do need change. Im not sure that camping out is the way to ge t the change to take place. I believe we need to bring out people to put into positions to be able to help get changes into place. If the people that are protesting would bond together and elect these people in each state, changes could take place.
